Some French people criticize the Eiffel Tower as being tacky, but call me old-fashioned, there's just something about a 300 meter flagpole...

Did I mention it's a brown 300 meter flagpole?

Katie and I in front of Notre Dame, home of enormous stained-glass windows, the Hunchback and all the gargoyles you could possibly want without driving from UNC to the University of New Jersey at Durham.

The American Cemetary at Normandy, where 9,387 perfectly lined-up white crosses mark the graves of the U.S. soliders who died during D-Day and in the other battles for the liberation of France. Apparently there's a John Miller buried here, which was just by chance the name of Tom Hanks' character in Saving Private Ryan.

Amazing that in just five days in Paris, we found the time to head to Disneyland Paris to ride Space Mountain...

The girls at the Place De La Concorde, where most of the beheading went down during the French Revolution. In the background, you can see the 13th-century BC Obelisque de Luxor, which depicts the deeds of Egyptian pharoah Ramses II. Also, that last picture wasn't of Space Mountain. It's actually the back side of Notre Dame. It's true. I'm a joke maker...

Jamie, Katie and I in front of I.M. Pei's controversial glass pyramid which marks the entrance to the Louvre, home of the Mona Lisa. Thanks, Katie, for this picture. She had to use the W.C. for about 45 minutes, but I demanded a retake after I was randomly kicking my leg up in the air like Fred Astaire in the first picture. That picture was immediately destroyed.

The Arc De Triomphe, which was commissioned in 1806 by Napoleon to honor the French army. It was later symbolically marched through by Nazi invaders and Ally liberators. I had enough trouble with the oncoming traffic.

I think this one's pretty self-explanatory.

Even if you are visited in a dream by the weird naked Indian from Wayne's World 2, do NOT visit this grave. It is small, hidden in the Pere Lachaise cemetary, and on the far side Paris. A total tourist trap. Moulin Rouge, on the other hand...
